Free Mobile Number Tracker India — Find Operator & Telecom Circle
DigiNow Mobile Tracker cross-references TRAI's public numbering series database to instantly identify the originating state circle, network operator (Airtel, Jio, Vodafone Idea, BSNL), and spam risk pattern of any 10-digit Indian mobile number.
How Indian Mobile Number Tracking Works
TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) assigns specific 4-digit number series prefixes to each licensed operator in each telecom circle. By matching the first 4 digits of a mobile number against this public allocation table, we can identify the original operator and registration state. No GPS, no personal subscriber data — purely regulatory public records.
India's 22 TRAI Telecom Circles
TRAI licenses mobile services across 22 service areas: 4 metro circles (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai) and 18 state/regional circles. Each operator holds per-circle spectrum licenses. This circle structure is why a number prefix can reveal its originating state.
- Metro Circles: Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai
- Category A Circles: Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh
- Category B Circles: Rajasthan, MP, West Bengal, Gujarat, Kerala, Punjab, Haryana
- Category C Circles: Bihar & Jharkhand, Odisha, J&K, Himachal Pradesh, North East, Assam
Mobile Number Portability (MNP) and Its Effect
India's MNP system (active since 2010) allows subscribers to switch operators while keeping their number. After porting, the original prefix still reflects the issuing carrier, not the current one. Over 600 million port requests have been processed in India. This means our tool shows the original registration operator, which may differ if the subscriber has ported.
How to Stop Spam Calls in India
Register on TRAI's Do Not Disturb (DND) registry by dialing 1909. File UCC complaints via the Sanchar Saathi portal at sancharsaathi.gov.in. Use Truecaller's crowd-sourced spam database. Enable Android's built-in call screening. Never share OTPs with incoming callers — no legitimate bank or government body requests OTPs over phone.
